How Micellar Water Works
The Riversol Micellar Water uses hyper-effective cleaning molecules called "micelles" to remove all makeup efficiently and more gently than traditional makeup removers.
These dual-ended micelle molecules are attracted to water on one end (the hydrophilic "head"), while the other end is attracted to the grease, oils, and makeup on the skin (the surfactant "tail"). This molecular arrangement is the key to micellar water's impressive makeup removing power, and its ability to be gentle on even the most sensitive skin.
Micelles naturally form a circle with hydrophilic heads on the outside and hydrophobic tails in the centre.
Hydrophilic heads attach to cotton or cloth. The surfactant tails remove grease, oil and makeup.
Ingredients
Micelles
These dual-ended molecules are attracted to water on one end (the hydrophilic "head"), while the other end is attracted to the grease, oils, and makeup on your face (the surfactant "tail"). When applying micellar water to a cotton pad or a microfibre cloth, the hydrophilic head is attracted to the hydrophilic fibres of the cloth or cotton. This leaves the surfactant side sticking up, ready to attract any oils, dirt, and makeup.
Aqua/Water, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Propylene Glycol, Xylitol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric acid, Sodium Hydroxide
How To Use
Apply onto areas with makeup using a cotton pad or the Microfibre Makeup Removal Facecloth. Gently wipe without scrubbing. Use before cleansing. External use only.
Use within 12 months of opening
1. Twist the cap counterclockwise to unlock, then flip the cap open.
2. Place a cotton round or cloth over the top and press down 1-2 times.
3. Close the cap & twist clockwise to lock.
4. Give it a test press to ensure it’s locked before travelling with it.
